To Whom it May Concern ...
I am a student in Mrs. Mackinnon's class who would like to make it known what a great and wonderful teacher she is. She is one of the best Math teachers I have experienced so far and I am sad to hear that she is resigning from public teaching, although I am sure she will be successful in her next job. She is a perfect teacher. She treats her students with respect and, unlike most, doesn't reign over her students. Her fun attitude provides a comfortable learning environment for her students and she has a talent for explaining and showing things in an extremely understandable fashion.
I currently have a 100% average in her class, which I know would be absolutely impossible with any other teachers. My other test scores have also gone up, thanks to Mrs. Mackinnon. She helps me to open my mind and understand things. She challenges us enough to learn without overwhelming us.
Her next students will be extremely lucky.
Best Wishes,

To Whom it May Concern,
For the past four months I have had Mrs. Mackinnon for my Geometry class in 10th grade. I would like to say that she is an amazing teacher. When I am in her class, I understand what is going on and I am not completely lost. She teaches Math in a very good way. She listens and helps people who need it. She also explains lessons very well and thoroughly and doesn't mind re-explaining lessons to you if you need the help.
I believe she is one of the best mathematics teachers I have ever had because she actually listens to what people have to say and talks to us like we are adults.
Sincerely,
Ashley Mullican
To Whom It May Concern:
As a student of Mrs. Mackinnon, I must say that she has by far more than any other teacher in the past 13 years of education helped me grow as a student and has driven me toward Education instead of away from it. She has the biggest heart of any teacher I have had before and she is the only teacher I've met who will truly say what is on her mind just to get her kids to relate mathematics to every day life.
She understands that we are children of a time period where education is at it's highest standard and has developed her teaching skills to surpass the high standards of the state, making her one of the Best teachers of my life. Any student would be lucky to be taught by such a kind and compassionate person.

To Whom It May Concern:
I attribute much of my recent successes to Ms. Mackinnon’s help. Before I began to attend weekly tutoring sessions with her, I struggled with mastery of certain mathematical skills and concepts, confidence, and motivation. I started with Ms. Mackinnon during my senior year of high school to gain a further understanding and confidence of Pre-AP Pre-Calculus and AP Calculus. Math was never a very enjoyable subject for me, but she taught me that it is more than just numbers and that is quite interesting. Once I went to college, I realized that I could apply the techniques Ms. Mackinnon had taught me to all of my math related courses. When I attended my first college Calculus class, I understood the course because I knew how to apply the concepts from what I was learning. Succeeding in this course gave me confidence, which led to me to become a Finance and Economics major—two majors that require an extreme about of math. Ms. Mackinnon taught me more than just the concepts, but she changed my outlook on the subjects as well as increased my confidence and drive to succeed.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN;
AS ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL AT LEWISVILLE HIGH SCHOOL, IT WAS MY PLEASURE TO WORK WITH AND SUPERVISE CINDY MACKINNON AS A MATH TEACHER.
I AM PLEASED TO SAY THAT CINDY HAS A WONDERFUL WAY WITH CHILDREN AND TEENS. SHE SOMEHOW MANAGES TO TAP INTO THE STUDENT'S LIKES/INTERESTS AND MAKES THEM LEARN AND ACTUALLY ENJOY MATH IN SPITE OF THEMSELVES! THE STUDENTS RESPECT HER AND ENJOY LEARNING FROM HER VERY MUCH.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND CINDY MACKINNON TO YOU, AND KNOW THAT YOU AND YOUR CHILD WILL BENEFIT FROM YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH HER.
SINCERELY,
CINDI HERNANDEZ

Ms.Mackinnon,
My son began to work with you during the school year of 2004-2005. After the first visit, a student who would never listen to anyone about properly using visuals while working with word problems, came home and began to apply your usage of visuals immediately. My son comes back from the tutoring sessions that he has had with you, energized and confident about his ability to deal with Algebra 2.
My son and I have discussed how he enjoys your company, your compassion, and your sense of humor. My son, a 16 year old boy, now comes home and looks over his notes, taken during your sessions, and applies them with confidence. Since tutoring with you, my son's test scores have gone from average C's to A's and B's.
I sincerely appreciate you zoning in on his area of weakness and applauding his growth in the area of mathematics.
